She says and my brain goes straight to trying to figure out why someone would repeat themselves so many times.
We dive into her story.
Finding her voice came when she was in her 30's. I think to myself, "is this the year I discover my voice?"
Her son struggled to speak for the first 3 years of his life. I think to myself, "Not being able to communicate for 3 years, what would I even do?"
A small voice in the back of my head says, "write"
Tonight I sit here humbled by a learning experience, trying to offer myself grace, and all I can think is "write"
It's been so long since I've expressed myself in the way little Shay! used to growing up.
Tonight I sat down, and this flowed.
I guess I'm going to be giving this another go.
